Dublin Municipal Theatre at Smock Alley
The Rachel Baptiste Programme is a script development initiative supporting Black Irish theatre makers and writers. The programme is led by Programme Director, Esosa Ighodaro, working alongside Pamela McQueen as the dramaturg on the programme developing scripts with the participants.
This First Look event offers audiences an early encounter with new work in progress, featuring readings of excerpts by M. M. Coelho, Marcello Fidelis, Dafe Pessu Orugbo and Tierra Porter, alongside a panel discussion with the artists exploring the ideas, process and possibilities shaping these emerging plays.
