Kitty Clog is an aging woman who is determined not to go quietly into that good night. With lots of attitude and a motley crew of supporting characters (all played by star of Father Ted and Fair City Rose Henderson), Kitty takes us with her on a rollercoaster journey to find her lost man.

About the Company

Sight Nor Sounds Theatre – “We are interested in the interdisciplinary aspect of artistic expression, specifically in the spaces where form (short story, novel, audio drama, stage theatre) touch off each other.”

Gorretti Slavin is an award-winning director / dramaturge. Her work with RTÉ, Drama on One has been broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1. She has a first-class master’s degree from UCD in directing for theatre.

Alan McMonagle is an award-winning writer. In 2017, he signed a two-book deal with the UK publisher Picador and in 2017 his novel, Ithaca, was published to critical acclaim. His second novel, Laura Cassidy’s Walk of Fame, was published in 2020. He is currently developing several pieces for the stage.

To date Gorretti and Alan have collaborated on four radio dramas which have been produced and broadcast as part of RTE Radio One’s Drama on One output.

In 2021 & 2022, as part of the Backstage Theatre ‘Activate’ residency programmes, the pair took Alan’s radio plays Shirley Temple Killer Queen and Oscar Night and successfully developed them for the stage.

Sight Nor Sound’s current play, The Good Crank, played in Galway as part of the 2024 Galway Theatre Festival with Rose Henderson in the lead role, and at The Villager in Chapelizod, Dublin.
