About the artist…

Seán Kennedy is a performer, theatre maker and classically trained tenor from Dublin. Seán makes work that blends live music, autobiography and opera. He studied vocal technique at the DIT Conservatory of Music, and in 2012 won the Tenor Solo at the National Feis Ceoil. In 2015 he debuted as a writer and theatre maker with BOY, a piece about love and domestic violence, presented in the Dublin Fringe Festival, and again at the Theatreszene Festival Cologne in May 2016.
In 2017 he was Artist In Residence at LIVE COLLISION International Festival while developing a work in progress. In 2019 Seán created a new work called Nine Weeks, presented again in the Dublin Fringe Festival, receiving a five star review from the Irish Times.
