Magüi Mira is a Spanish actress, playwright and director. She has been awarded, among others, the Spanish 2016 Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts, the 2018 Valle Inclán Award for Best Theatrical Creation of the Year and the Ercilla Award for her entire theatre career. Magüi Mira’s public recognition over the last 40 years, due to her professional career, her participation in public forums, and her significant fight for equality, visibility and dignity of women, has made her one of the pillars of culture in Spain.
