DAFT

WRIGHTHERE

“DAYLIGHT COMES AND WE WANNA GO HOME”

Dublin is at war; Martial law has been called and three absurd renters must decide whether to take to the streets or stay inside. The Irish housing crises has taken its toll and sanity has fled the nest. DAFT is inspired by rental stories but told with a twist. Three people, two sides, sharing one room. This Cosmopolitan quirkiness lets loose as Generation rent takes full affect. Sounds a bit daft doesn’t it.

About The Company:

Wrighthere is the professional company for artist Joe Wright. An actor, writer and musician who made his professional debut in 2016.
“In 2017 I debuted my first major theatre production ‘Astronaut’ which went on to be nominated at Dublin’s Fringe festival for a Zeitgeist award . In 2021 I released my debut book ‘Notions’ which trended on Amazons top 100 books and then in 2022 I followed up with a second instalment of both a theatre production ‘Columbia March’ in Camden London and also a book ‘Glimpse’ which had similar success. My style generally leans more towards protest theatre but with a farcical twist. DAFT was first sampled back in 2018 at the Scene and Heard Festival and the issues have only worsened“.
