Irish classical guitarist Darren Loughran presents a programme of classical guitar music spanning from the 16th century to the present day. He will perform well-known classics from the repertoire or the guitar joined with recent compositions which will be introduced by the composers themselves.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Having heard his teacher at the time, practising Francisco Tarrega’s Recuerdos de la Alhambra, He decided to dedicate himself to the classical guitar.
Loughran later went on to study at the Dublin Conservatory of Music, under Alan Grundy and Later in Maynooth University to do a masters Degree in musicology and performance. Before furthering his studies in Maynooth, Loughran began studying with renowned and award-winning classical guitarist Denis Azabagic, whom he studied with for 4 years.Loughran’s performing career has been primarily as a solo performer and has worked with composers to help add new works to the repertory of the classical guitar.
