Smock Alley Theatre, 1662
December 5th & 6th 2015
After a triumphant debut last year, the Smock Alley Christmas Fayre returns as a full weekend event with festive treats for all the family.
On December 5th & 6th, Smock Alley Christmas Fayre will see the theatre’s spectacular Banquet Hall brimming with festive market stalls selling everything from crafts and jewellery to clothing and books, the perfect place to find that last minute gift or to treat yourself to a mince pie, mulled wine and other homemade goodies. Occupying a central position at the heart of Temple Bar’s Old City area, the Christmas Fayre is a rare opportunity for Smock Alley to join forces with neighbouring shops and the Designer Mart on Cow’s Lane, unfailingly bustling outside its back doors each and every Saturday.
There will be plenty to occupy younger members of the family, too, with readings by lamplight and screenings of festive film favourites. All this will be set to a sparkling seasonal soundtrack, with a selection of Christmas songs and carols performed by Smock Alley’s ensemble-in-residence, Tonnta Music.
