The New Irish Playbook 2020 is a series of short original plays which is a showcase of the next generation of Irish writers, actors & directors all of which have never previously worked together before with a goal of building new working relationships and creating truly unique theatre.

About Little Shadow…

Little Shadow Theatre company has a bright history after debuting in the summer of 2015. Their first production Goodbye To Marie written by Joe O’Neill ran across Dublin (including a run at Smock Alley Theatre) and has since had an Irish Tour. The company also staged The New Irish Playbook 2016 in The Sean O’Casey Theatre & The New Irish Playbook 2017 in Smock Alley. Little Shadow has enjoyed success with performances of Franner & Joey and The Boy with the Halogen Hair by Eddie Naughton in the Teachers Club and Venom So Sweet by Roger Gregg in Theatre Upstairs.

In 2018 Little Shadow toured Ireland and England with their production of The New Irish Playbook: Joe O’Neill which was a series of short plays written and Directed by Joe O’Neill which included performances in the Greater Manchester & Camden Fringe Festivals. Most recently Little Shadow Produced Bright Eyes by Joe O’Neill which ran for two weeks in Smock Alley Theatre.
