Homebeat presents… Sun Collective
[blockquote_right]Tuesday December 22nd at 8pm
in The Boys’ School[/blockquote_right]Sun Collective, bring their full 8-piece ensemble to The Boys’ School at Smock Alley Theatre on December 22nd, to herald the New Year with their first headline performance in Dublin. Comprising a diverse range of freelance musicians, they will be performing original songs and compositions from their forthcoming debut release, ‘Pandect’, in 2016.
The Collective will be humbly accompanied on the night by Choice Music Prize Album of the Year winner Adrian Crowley, for a once off collaborative improvisation on one of his evocative and unique texts.
Support from Mick O’Brien (Uilleann Pipes) and Aoife Ni Bhriain (Fiddle).
Sun Collective is an ensemble of freelance musicians and artists. Their arrangements explore popular acoustic music and ‘orchestral’ instrumentation. An interest in the dynamic possibilities available to a large collective of artists, treating the same musical material through various contexts and genre’s, is at the heart of their ethos.
