Candlelit Tales bring their unique telling of the Tain Bo Cualigne to life with a new and exciting element of shadow puppetry. Atmospheric, evocative, and lyrically beautiful, audiences will hear this ancient story as it has never been told before.

CandlelitTales were formed in the winter of 2014 by siblings Aron and Sorcha who set out to bring the stories they loved back to the forefront of popular culture. Their passion is storytelling, and finding ways to make the ancient Irish epics and folktales accessible and entertaining to audiences with all levels of knowledge, from none to experts! Growing from their beginnings in the Stag’s Head, they began to incorporate music, and this summer, they added the element of dance and song to create the theatrical show “The Dream of Eithlinn”, which toured many festivals, including Body and Soul and the Electric Picnic.
