Family event recommended for children aged 5+[/blockquote_right]
Let’s go on a Sea Safari! Discover the world under the sea with a real life Marine Biologist and Underwater Photographer; Sarah Varian. When marine biologist Sarah Varian was little, she spent her summer holidays in Co. Kerry searching rock pools with her brother, and fishing with her dad. She loves everything to do with the sea: whether it’s taking photographs underwater or talking to people about our beautiful wildlife beneath the waves.
As part of our family explorer talk series, Sarah will take you on a Sea Safari while you discover what it’s like to be a Marine Biologist and an underwater photographer. Dr Sarah studied Marine Biology at UCD and worked in New Zealand before returning to Dublin 10 years ago, where she set up her business Marine Dimensions. Still working as a consultant scientist, she devotes much of her time to promoting awareness of the marine environment using creative techniques.
She introduces people to the underwater environment through photography, combining imaginative compositions in an underwater realm with the science and exploration of the sea. As part of the Family Explorer Series at The Festival of Curiosity, exploring real life explorers from the Stars to the Sea and from the Zoo to your Garden.
