Mothers Artists Makers

After a roaring success in 2017 MAM returns to Smock Alley with their annual Fundraiser ‘MAM BEHIND THE MIC’.

You are invited to an informal evening of entertainment brought to you by members of Mothers Artists Makers.

All pieces are written and/or performed by MAMs and include original music, comedy, theatre, spoken word and more. It promises to be a fantastic night out that will leave you inspired and entertained.

All monies raised will go towards continuing the supports MAM offers to mothers who work/wish to return to work in the creative arts.

MAM (Mothers Artists Makers) is a feminist movement created by mothers who are professional members of the creative industries in Ireland. MAM was formed on International Women’s Day 2016 on foot of the Waking the Feminists Meetings. We promote family friendly practice and meet weekly in child friendly Arts venues to support, discuss, advocate and create. Our children of all ages and energies are always welcome, included and facilitated. Running on a voluntary basis, we are now over 400 members nationally and internationally and growing. MAM represents its members through active membership in organisations such as Theatre Forum and the National Women’s Council of Ireland.
