Smock Alley is abiding by all government protocols in regards to the safe assembly of groups of people.
We request that you wear a face covering for the duration of your visit.
From the 6th September, we will be allowed operate at 60% capacity.
To facilitate this increase, we are now required to ask for proof of vaccination or proof of recovery from COVID. If this is a problem for you, please contact us in advance of your visit.
In terms of audience numbers, 60% of capacity means 106 (instead of 177) in the Main Space and 36 (instead of 60) in the Boys’ School.
Our Front of House staff will ensure that each booking/group has as much of a gap as possible around it. In the event of a full performance, this may be a single seat (about 0.5m).
Smock Alley has introduced an entrance and exit process and you may be asked to leave the auditorium by a different exit to the one you came in. Please follow all instructions from the Front of House staff in this regard.
Smock Alley has introduced a rigorous cleaning protocol. Please be assured that the building, auditorium and the seats are thoroughly cleaned before and after every performance. Hand sanitisation points are available throughout the building. Please use them as often as you need to.
Please continue to observe social distancing when waiting for the bathroom facilities.
Please continue to observe good cough/sneezing etiquette.
