Written in the form of a requiem mass, the late Eoghan Ó Tuairisc’s long poem Aifreann na Marbh commemorates the victims of the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima.
Tonight IMRAM is proud to celebrate this hugely influential work with a multi-media presentation that fuses live and recorded readings of the poem by Rita Kelly, Gabriel Rosenstock and Marcus Mac Conghail; music composed and performed by Seán Mac Erlaine (clarinet, electronics)and Clive Bell (shakuhachi); and on-screen projections created by Margaret Lonergan.
